  1. Boil the potatoes and mash them.

  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.
  5. Cut the burger buns into halves and toast them on a pan.
  6. Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.
  7. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the mayonnaise.
  8. Place a patty on top of the lettuce leaf.
  9. Place a slice of cheese on top of the patty.
  10. Place a few slices of onion and tomato on top of the cheese slice.
  11. Squeeze a tablespoon of tomato ketchup on top of the tomato slices.
  12. Cover the burger with the top half of the bun.
  13. Repeat the process for the remaining burgers.
